Rules Of Life

1. Take a 10-30 minutes walk every day. And while you walk, smile.

2. Sit in silence for at least 10 minutes each day.

3. Live with the 3 E's -- Energy, Enthusiasm, and Empathy.

4.  Read more books than you did in previous year.

5. Make time to practice meditation, yoga, and prayer. They provide us with daily fuel for our busy lives.

6. Spend time with people over the age of 70 & under the age of 6.

7. Try to make at least three people smile each day.

8. Don't waste your precious energy on gossip.

9. Forget issues of the past.  Don't remind your partner with his/her mistakes of the past. That will ruin your present happiness.

10.  Don't have negative thoughts or things you cannot control.  Instead invest your energy in the positive present moment.

11. Realize that life is a school and you are here to learn. Problems are simply part of the curriculum that appear and fade away like algebra class but the lessons you learn will last a lifetime.

12. Smile and laugh more.

13. Life is too short to waste time hating anyone.  Don't hate others.
14. You don't have to win every argument. Agree to disagree.

15. Make peace with your past so it won't spoil the present.

16. Don't compare your life to others'. You have no idea what their journey is all about. Don't compare your partner with others.

17. No one is in charge of your happiness except you.

18. Forgive everyone for everything.

19. What other people think of you is none of your business.

20. Each day give something good to others.
21.  Don't over do.  Keep your limits.
22. When you awake alive in the morning, thank GOD for it.

Cracked Pot

An elderly Chinese Woman had two pots, each hung on the ends of a pole, which she carried across her neck.
One of the pots had a crack in it while the other pot was perfect and always delivered a full portion of water.
At the end of the long walk from the stream to the house, the cracked pot arrived only half full.
For a full two years this went on daily, with the women bringing home only one and half pots of water.
Of course the perfect pot was proud of its accomplishments.
But the poor cracked pot was ashamed of its own imperfection, and miserable that it could only do half of what it had been made to do.
After two years of what it perceived to be bitter failure, it spoke to the women one day by the stream.
“I am ashamed of myself, because this crack in m side causes water to leak out all the way back to your house”.
The old woman smiled, “Did you notice that there are flowers on your side of the path, but not on the other pots side? That’s because I have always known about your flaw, so I planted   flower seeds on your side of the path, and every day while we walk back, you water them”.
“For two years I have been able to pick these beautiful flowers to decorate the table”.
Each of us has his own unique flaw…
But it’s the cracks and flaws we each have that make our lives together so very interesting and rewarding.
You have just got to take each person for what they are and look for good in them.

It's All About Life

Before you think of saying an unkind word, think of someone who can’t speak.
Before you complain about the taste of your food, think of someone who has nothing to eat.
Today before you complain about your life, think of someone who went too earlt to heaven.
Before you complain about your children, think of someone who desires children but they are barren.
Before you argue about your dirty house; someone didn’t clean or sweep, think of people who are living on the streets.
Before whining about the distance you drive, think of someone who walks the same distance with their feet.
And when you are tired and complain about your job, think of the unemployed, the disabled and those who wished they had your job.
But before you think pointing the finger or condemning another, remember not one of us is without sin and we all answer to one maker.
And when depressing thoughts seem to get you down, put a smile on your face and thank God you’re alive and still around.
Life is gift.
Live it…Enjoy it... Celebrate it... And Fulfill it.
If you look at what you do not have in life, you don’t have anything. If you lokk at what you have in life, you have everything. If things are not looking the way you want… simply change your way of looking…
